Lesson 59 - The Tradeoffs of Loose Coupling
(May 6, 2019)

In lesson 29 Mark Richards spoke about the types and levels of component and service coupling and illustrated the importance of paying attention to coupling. Then in lesson 57 he talked about how to achieve loose coupling by applying the law of Demeter. In this lesson Mark Richards talks about the tradeoffs associated with loose coupling. Loose coupling is something every software architect and designer strives to achieve, but it is equally important to understand that the further we decouple our services, the more severe the tradeoffs. Find out what those tradeoffs are by watching this lesson.
