In lesson 73 Mark Richards talked about architecture fitness functions - objective measurements of some sort of architecture characteristic. In this lesson, he talks about two types of fitness functions - triggered (usually executed through a deployment pipeline prior to production release), and continuous (always running and measuring in a production environment), and the advantages and disadvantages of each.
